Battambang is a tourism destination known for its charming city located along the Sangkae River. Additionally, Battambang boasts several potential tourist spots. Today, however, I would like to introduce a unique bamboo train experience located in Banon District, Battambang City, Battambang Province.

When it comes to bamboo trains, many people envision the activity of riding on a bamboo platform mounted on rails, passing through natural landscapes while enjoying the fresh air. This experience has always left a lasting impression on visitors. To experience the bamboo train, tourists need to travel to Banon Mountain. This offers them the opportunity to explore Banon Temple during the day and then enjoy a relaxing bamboo train ride in the afternoon.


Beyond the natural scenery, the Banon Mountain bamboo train area is a recreational spot that also offers dining services and numerous picturesque photo opportunities. The Bamboo Train, located approximately 4.2 kilometers from Battambang City, takes around 13 minutes to complete its route. Visitors can enjoy the experience for just 10,000 riel for Cambodian citizens and $5 for foreign tourists. The breathtaking views of forests and mountains, combined with the fun ride and the chance to capture beautiful photos, will leave unforgettable memories.

According to the Battambang Provincial Department of Tourism, Phnom Sampov stands approximately 100 meters tall and offers access by both vehicles and motorbikes to the top.
